The first tip that you definitely should follow is to drink 8 glasses of water everyday. This advice is quite obvious and recommended by many nutritionists, but the reason I decided to recommend it here is a little bit different. If you drink eight glasses of water each it will help you to feel less hungry. Although there is still no scientific proof for this, when I am at work, I drink 4 cups in the morning and 4 cups in the evening. On the days that I do not drink that much water I tend to feel more hungry. What is more, when you don’t drink enough water you will feel sleepy much sooner. Do not be afraid and try to drink 8 glasses of water each day. Try doing what I do: I have a pint glass I keep at work, it contains sixteen ounces (as all pint glasses do) of water. Everything you must do is drink two pints of water in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Another important thing you should do is to make your diet public. Simply tell people that you are on a diet. By no means should you be ashamed to be on a diet. I discovered that an attempt to keep my diet a secret was much more difficult than just telling people. As a matter of fact, telling your colleagues, girlfriend, family, etc. will increase your accountability. I became motivated by being aware that my coworkers and family knew that I was dieting because I did not want to fail. I also picked a typical “fat picture” and placed it on my fridge, in my cubicle, and on my wall. I wanted it to be a constant reminder to lose the weight. I know it is a cliche, but it was crucial for me to remind myself of my ultimate goal.

Exercise everyday.  It is not always possible to go to the gym three times a week, though it is possible for a typical person to take a quick 10 minute walk.  Consider parking the car five minutes away from your workplace.  You will hardly notice the difference.  There is no need to pay a premium parking fee to park right by the shopping mall when parking five minutes away will not only give you the  chance for some exercise but will also let you save money.

Smoking is bad for your health, and is even more dangerous for those who have a history of breathing problems or asthmatic tendencies.  People who have tried in the past to give up and find themselves feeling worse for failure, may want to consider hypnotherapy, which is gaining increasing recognition as being a very efficient method to stop this bad habit.

Time management is not only about filling every waking hour with duties.  The balanced time planner knows the benefit of planning some time for doing completely nothing.  The message here is to plan a bit of time for you.

The word “lifestyle” is very often misinterpreted as the ability to own aspirational brands and products or being able to afford lavish skiing trips or fashionable leisure pursuits.  The word you are asked not to forget is “life”.  You will only get one, so you should ponder on how you want to spend it.  Many people spend the whole year doing something they detest just to be able to afford a week doing something they adore.  We imply this may be the incorrect ratio.

Different plastic surgery procedures are accompanied with various levels of discomfort, and they require different methods of anesthetizing. In the majority of cases, the patient’s preferences concerning safety and comfort, as well as personal pain threshold can help to decide what kind of anesthesia will be applied during the surgery. Very minor, non-invasive surgeries may involve only a topical anesthetic, while minor invasive surgeries will probably call for local anesthetic or local combined with sedation. In more involved surgery, general anesthesia is usually applied.

Are you thinking about plastic surgery? Read our tips before you decide on it.

Credentials:
Chosen specialists should have a license by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Any doctor (even one from a nonsurgical specialty) can legally perform surgery. On the other hand, a certificate by the ABPS gives you the guarantee of at least five years of surgical training, including 2 years of training specifically in the area of plastic surgery.

Patients undergoing a cosmetic procedure should choose a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) in order to be sure that their doctor has extensive plastic surgical experience and has met ASAPS requirements for continuing cosmetic surgery education.

Hospital privileges: Cosmetic plastic surgery is typically performed outside the hospital in an office-based surgical facility. No matter where the surgery is to be performed, chosen surgeons should have hospital privileges to perform the specific type of procedure in an acute care hospital.

Facilities: Scientific data reveal that accredited office-based facilities have a safety record similar to that of hospital ambulatory surgery settings. Ambulatory or office-based facilities should be accredited by a nationally or state-recognized accrediting agency, or be at least state licensed or Medicare certified.

Health: People who want to have a cosmetic surgery procedure should be in generally good physical condition and must be frank with their physician about any kind of drugs they are currently taking.

The medical history should involve hormones (oral contraceptives and estrogen replacement) and even such medications as aspirin, vitamins, and herbal medications because these substances can interfere with blood clotting or interact with medications that are used during surgery and could cause the surgical risk to increase.

Patient education:
Before surgery, patients should be properly informed about all elements of the planned surgery, including whether to stop taking certain medications and quit smoking.

Assume you’re a woman dared to a drinking contest by a male. Do you ask for a handicap based on your gender, or do you sit at bar and go drink for drink, trusting in equality of the sexes in all situations?

Although there are always exceptions, typically a man’s body will have more muscle and less fat than a woman’s. Because muscle tissue contains more water than fat tissue, a man’s body contains a higher percentage of water than a woman’s, approximately 60% in comparison to 50%. Alcohol is dissolved in water but not in fat, therefore as the ethanol is moved from the stomach into the blood, it will be distributed in a higher number of a man’s cells than a woman’s. As a result, the concentration of ethanol is higher in a woman’s bloodstream; she will have a higher Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) with the same amount of alcohol intake. Higher BAC results in more ethanol going to the organs, where its intoxicating effects are exerted.

But what if the woman is more muscular than the man, and they weigh more or less the same? She may additionally be hindered by her speed of beer breakdown. Although the majority of ethanol is oxidized in the liver, a small amount is metabolized in the stomach, by an enzyme called gastric alcohol dehydrogenase. Several small studies have proven that in younger women, the activity of this enzyme is drastically lower compared with their male counterparts. Therefore, men are able to break down more ethanol in the stomach, so less is absorbed into the bloodstream.

What women do have working to their advantage, however, is a higher rate of alcohol excretion, though this is based on their lean body mass. Men and women eliminate approximately the same amount of alcohol per unit of weight, but women eliminate more ethanol per unit of lean body mass per hour than men do.
